HAIR AND MAKE – UP


Girls Age 6 – 11
NO JEWELRY, NO FINGERNAIL POLISH

HAIR:  Vey curly (sponge roller) hair. 
Princess – one pony tail,
Munchkins – one pony tail;
Fun, Fun, Fun -it can be loose, but not in anyone’s face; Charleston -

MAKE-UP:  Pretty, fresh young girl face.  Pinks, natural.  (NO red lips, NO blue eyeshadow, NO big rosey red cheeks)

BOYS AGE 6 – 11

HAIR:  same for Munchkins’ Fun, Fun, Fun; Kangaroo; Charleston: Clean, combed, a little gel would be nice.

MAKE UP – If we think someone needs it we will let them know individually


GIRLS AGE 12 – 13

The Cast A and B classification designates which 3 of their 4 numbers they will perform each night.

Performance and Rehearsal Information


Friday, March 2 CAST A:
  • Bring your costume items. See the Blog.
  • Bring small container (like a small laundry basket, 5 gallon bucket, etc) for personal items.
  • The time schedule is TIGHT! It is important that you arrive ready to cooperate.
  • Plan on exercising patience.
  • This rehearsal time is for you to get used to exits and entrances AND it is for lights, sound and crew to learn their jobs too.
  • Remember to leave your expensive things at home… many people will be coming and going from all rooms and we don’t want anything to get “lost”.

4:00 pm – 6:30 pm Children Cast A

4:00 pm – 4:45 pm “It’s a Small World” Cast A

Cast A does not need to attend on Saturday March 3rd.

Saturday, March 3 Schedule, CAST B --- dependent on everyone arriving ON TIME
  • Bring your costume items. See the Blog.

Costumes: Costumes will be in the chapel overflow area. Quietly get your costumes, dressing rooms are the RS room for females and the Scout room for males. BE PATIENT. Not all costumes will be worn this day, but many will.

Props: Props will be set in the hallways. DO NOT TOUCH props that you don’t use.


7:30 – 8:30 am Band


8:00 – 10:15 am Children – most children

8:00 – 10:35 am Children in Charleston

9:30 -10:30 am “It’s a Small World” Cast B


9:45 am – 12:30 pm Teens – most teens

9:45 am – 1:30 pm Teens in Merry Old Land of Oz, Life’s a Happy Song, Africa


11:00 am – 7:00 pm*** Adults (may leave after your final number. Please make every effort

to be in attendance for your numbers.)


8:00 pm The Stage is being painted.


*** The “end” time could be as earlier if all goes well, just want all to be prepared, as some numbers may take longer than expected.


General Performance Information
  • During the run of the show: all cast members are to remain in their dressing rooms when not performing on stage. CAST members will need to use the hallways for traveling to and from the stage. We cannot have extra people hanging out in the hall.
  • During intermission: ALL cast members are to be quietly in their dressing rooms. Audience needs the restrooms and hallways.
  • Bathrooms are not dressing rooms – do not apply make-up or dress in the bathrooms.

Tuesday, March 6
DRESS REHEARSAL – ALL COSTUMES, HAIR & MAKE-UP


CALL TIME: 6 pm
START SHOW: 7pm

If your part is over you may go home. Show Order will be posted on Saturday Mar 3. When the rehearsal is over, if there are any groups that want extra stage time, schedule with Melissa.

Wednesday, March 7

START SHOW 7:45 pm

“It’s a Small World” CAST B will rehearse

Children can go home when their parts are finished. Everyone else stay for bows at the end.

Cast Update


T-shirts
  •  If you pre-ordered PLEASE PAY on Sat. Feb 25.  $6 each.
  • If you still want a shirt, we did order a limited number of extras.  First to pay will have one reserved.
  • Shirts are schedule to be available Sat Mar 3.

TICKETS
  • You can purchase tickets at rehearsal between 11am and 1 pm on Sat. 
  • We need every cast member to be responsible to bring at LEAST 7 people to see the show!  Especially the FIRST weekend!  Don’t let seats go empty… We want a full house every show.

SNACK BAR
  • Sat Sept 25 there will be limited snacks for sell.  Please be prepared for your snacks by either bringing your own or bring money.  It is not ok for teens and children to leave the building to run across the street for food.

BLOG
  • Everything you need to know is on the blog!!!! Go there and find your costume info, song info, choreography, latest info on any changes, etc.  You may even find a picture of yourself!!  It is Sooooo easy.  Just do it!  hbshows.blogspot.com

TEENS and CHILDREN
  • Your parents who are not in the show need to contact either Melissa Peterson 714-962-3558 or Tina Rabideau 949-922-6333 ASAP to sign up for backstage help.  With so many in the cast, 8 performances and 3 big rehearsals we NEED their help.  CALL US, don’t make us call you. :)

PROBLEM…
  • There are casts members making poor choices at rehearsals.   THIS IS NOT OK.  Remember, be KIND, be QUIET, have FUN.  If anyone is finding being in a show is not for them, please let us know and drop, so we can move forward.  Everyone will be happier when everyone is happy J
  • CLEAN up every time you see trash, pick it up
  • Treat the costumes, the building, the stage, the curtains, the carpet, the props, the equipment and electronics with respect

SAFETY
  • The stage is built.  It is made of wood, there are screws, staples, and splinters in unexpected places.  YOU MUST WEAR SHOES (not flip flops) at rehearsal
  • Use the stairs to exit the stage
  • Everyone – be on the stage ONLY when a director or choreographers has asked you to be there
